This button is the smaller square one with the question mark. Clicking this button will turn on the dialog help (not the same as the Help dialog) - moving the mouse over any button will present a small dialog that explains the button's functions and options. Clicking on this button again will turn the dialog help mode off. While dialog help is activated, do not press any buttons! If you move the mouse too quickly or accidentally hit the buttons, you may find help boxes remaining on the screen. To remove any that remain by accident, click on them with the mouse. If any error messages appear, simply click on the "Cancel" button. This only happens when the mouse moves and clicks so quickly that HyperCard doesn't receive all the information about where the mouse is.
Holding down the option key and clicking will take you to the Help Topics dialog box. In this dialog, pressing the "Leave Help" button will remove the dialog. Pressing the "Registration Form" button will take you to the registration form card, which you can fill and print out. You can click on any of the topics in the list at the left, and the appropriate section of the documentation will appear in the Help dialog. In the Help dialog, pressing the "Prev" or "Next" buttons will cycle through the documentation. Pressing the "Leave Help" button will usually take you back to the Help Topics dialog. Pressing Command-Y ("Why?") or selecting "Stack Help" from the Area/ZIP menu has the same effect as option-clicking on this button. This stack contains a button, the "Area/ZIP Codes" button that you can paste into any stack and any number of stacks. If you already have pasted a button from a previous version of this stack, you should replace it. After copying this button into the stack of your choice, whenever you click on it you will be taken to this stack. When you select the "Paste Area/ZIP Button" button from the Help Topics dialog you will be asked what stack you want it pasted into, what layer you want it to be pasted into, and what card (name or number) you want it to be pasted into. Be careful when you decide what layer you want to paste into! Pasting into the background layer of a stack may be damaging to that stack. This button should normally be pasted into the card layer. After selecting and entering the information, you will be taken to the stack you requested and the button will appear. Simply move it around to the desired place and click. The button will be put in place. Then a dialog will pop up, allowing you to change any of the button's properties if you wish. Then click "OK" or "Cancel" and you will be returned to the card you originally were on in this stack. You may want to make sure that the stack that is to have the button pasted into it is not protected with a password or a menu-activated limit on the user access. Otherwise, you'll be told that the button can't be pasted and you'll return to this stack.
